Bridge Class – Grade 9 to Grade 8:  The United States Soccer Federation Referee Bridge Course is for Recreational Referees (Grade 9) who wish to upgrade to Referee (Grade 8) after competing at least one year in service. If you are a grade 9 referee and wish to upgrade to grade 8 you need to attend this clinic.

Grade 9 Entry Level Clinic:  The United States Soccer Federation Recreational Referee (Grade 9) Entry Level Course is for new referees age 16 and younger.  We recommend that people age 17 and older with no previous soccer experience as a player, coach, team official, etc. begin as a Recreational Referee.  The authorized assignment level for a Recreational Referee (Grade 9) is referee on recreational youth games U-14 and younger only and Assistant Referee on any game U-14 or below.  The minimum age to become a Grade 9 referee in Alabama is age 12

Recertification Clinic:  In order to be annually registered at their current grade level, all Referees must: (a) Complete the required number of hours of in-service training (5), take their respective current Referee Refresher written examination; (b) Pass the physical fitness test and a maintenance assessment (Referees Grade 8 & 9 excluded).
